Associate Director of Demand Generation

The Associate Director of Demand Generation is responsible for executing demand and lead generation campaigns for K–12 private school families and members. The objective is to generate leads, opportunities, and pipeline to grow our product portfolio for Professional Development, The SSAT, SAO, The Snapshot, and The Student Prospect List. 

The primary focus of the role will be to craft and execute multi-channel marketing programs in addition to tracking and reporting the results of those efforts. This position plays a critical role on a team that works closely with Marketing Operations, Product, Sales, and other cross-functional teams at EMA.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, skilled at project management, an excellent communicator and someone who manages change effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing programs to generate demand for our product suite and manage pipeline opportunities in support of our sales and membership channel.
  • Strategically utilize marketing tactics in a combined and integrated marketing manner – including email, webinars, calling campaigns, landing pages, live regional events, social media, search engine marketing, and more to manage and execute multi-touch campaigns.
  • Develop campaigns, execution steps, content requirements, reporting templates, and supporting systems.
  • Build engaging emails in our marketing automation platform and send to targeted lists. 
  • Monitor and assess reach, engagement, market penetration, and product positioning to develop or adjust demand generation plans to meet objectives.
  • Provide planning, organization, collateral creation and support for sales events including trade shows, conferences, and regional seminars.
  • Ability to build Google Slide presentations to support outreach efforts.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in demand generation, marketing communications, product marketing, or channel marketing 
  • Experience and demonstrated success in running demand generation campaigns in a B2C environment.
  • Go-to-market development plan capabilities – including successful launch planning positioning and execution
  • Understanding of marketing automation systems and the ability to build and send emails (HubSpot preferred)
  • Familiarity with sales-stage nurture tactics, buyer personas, and lead scoring
  • Experience with customer relationship management tool (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience with Google Suite preferred
  • Creative thinking capabilities; Interest/desire to learn and adopt new marketing strategies and tactics
  • Strategy, project management, budget management, and financial skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
