Marketing & Communication Coordinator

The Marketing and Communications coordinator will act as a creative professional providing a range of support as part of the Association’s overall integrated marketing and communications strategy.  The coordinator will develop and execute marketing content and collateral to support the marketing team to positively impact member relations, events, products, projects, and research to promote and enhance the organization’s brand. This role will ensure that the Association is viewed as the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of information about independent school admission and enrollment management within its diverse network and constituent base. This position primarily focuses on digital content management and marketing strategies in line with the Association's brand, mission, and goals.

This role reports to:
Director of Family & Product Marketing

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Family and Product Marketing and the Director of Membership Marketing & Communication with various strategic initiatives and internal marketing support requests. 
  • Create tools and collateral to enable sales, loyalty, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and maintain foundational templates and assets to support our marketing efforts.
  • Provide strategic support and daily management of the Association’s website and community portal resources, including content creation and routine maintenance to ensure content is accurate, current, and user-friendly.
  • Develop and deploy a creative and strategic organic and paid social-media strategy to engage various markets, sharing the mission and insights of the Association while advising departments of best practices for social media marketing and compliance. 
  • Write, design, gain input, and deploy a variety of email marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on performance analytics to make optimization recommendations.
  • Adopt and work efficiently within the marketing tech stack to deliver on timelines and marketing strategies. 
  • Manage project timelines and editorial calendars and communicate with stakeholders regarding project requirements, status, and deadlines.
  • Liaise with graphic design agencies and freelance writers for a range of projects.
  • Event management and annual conference support (engaging agencies, email, and social media promotions, collateral updates/creation, onsite support, etc.).

Educational Requirements


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related degree field with 2 to 4 years of experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a marketing role or related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience in managing web content management systems web analytics and reporting; experience with Webflow and Google Analytics preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Figma or ability/interest to learn on the job is a must.
  • Knowledge of HubSpot or ability/interest to learn on the job is a must.
  • Experience in developing strategic communications for a multi-channel environment.
  • Understanding of email marketing strategies and experience executing email campaigns.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good design aesthetics and a strong ability to judge visual appearance.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines and be a team player.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial, and enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven organization.

Salary: 65K to 70K 

Work Location: Remote 

Traveling: 25% or less travel
