Product Manager, Product Operations & Maintenance

The Product Manager, Product Operations & Maintenance, is responsible for optimizing the operational function and delivery of products. This position seeks an individual who is skilled at aligning and prioritizing requirements across product, technology and internal teams to ensure product success.


The primary focus of this role will be to align our product, technology and internal teams to deliver on a comprehensive user journey across our product portfolio. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize customer support and internal business requirements, provide insights and strategies to increase engagement and usability of our products, and help inform the direction of our product portfolio with an emphasis on operational efficiency. This role will be responsible for the definition, planning and hands-on execution of product enhancements necessary to driving this operational efficiency throughout the product life cycle.

Senior Director of Product, Product & Technology

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the product, technology and support service team to identify, track and prioritize product requirements to improve product efficiency, functionality, usability and engagement for our end users. 
  • Develop content, strategies and solutions with the product and technology teams to address gaps in the user experience.
  • Convey product vision to achieve business goals and end-user needs for increased product efficiency and functionality
  • Partner with product, technology and critical stakeholders to define and implement end-user surveys and usage data tracking strategies. Synthesize usage data into actionable insights. 
  • Lead product and project management efforts regarding end-user support, engagement and data gathering priorities
  • Partner with product and marketing teams on storytelling initiatives to further define and develop user journeys.
  • Build and implement tools and processes to drive scalability and improved support initiatives across product operations.
  • Develop a system for documenting critical product updates, training artifacts and knowledgebase articles that will support the end-user journey and inform internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with product and technology teams to drive operational excellence.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of product management or product data analysis experience

Experience Qualifications 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information in an easily understandable format for various audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop and present insightful data findings, data analyses and user journey recommendations
  • Experience developing and nurturing interpersonal relationships across teams to enhance collaboration and partnership opportunities
  • Desire to be the champion of process improvements and efficiencies across the organization
  • Strong project management, facilitation and documentation skills
  • Passionate about user journeys and engaging customer experiences
  • Proficient use of Jira or equivalent tool for product planning and execution
  • Proficient use of Google Drive/Sheets/Docs, Smartsheets, Clickup, or other tools for product management and requirements gathering and documentation
  • Scrum certified product manager or equivalent a plus
  • Experience working in product management for K-12/academic markets is preferred but not required.
  • Salesforce experience is preferred but not required.
