Heather Hoerle Receives NBOA Sarah Daignault Outstanding Support of Independent Schools Award

(Skillman, New Jersey, January 24, 2023) – Enrollment Management Association (EMA), a nonprofit organization supporting over 1,300 private schools and 80,000 families, announced today that Heather Hoerle, Executive Director and CEO, is the recipient of the 2023 Sarah Daignault Outstanding Support of Independent Schools Award from the National Business Officers Association (NBOA).

NBOA is the only national nonprofit membership association focused exclusively on supporting finance and operations professionals in independent PK–12 schools, with chief business officers being the leading senior staff member in a school charged with advancing school business.

The Sarah Daignault award honors one person each year who consistently shows generous support of NBOA and independent school business officers. This could be through their thought leadership, participation in NBOA programs, and/or financial and practical support of the national independent school business officer community.

“Heather is an extraordinary leader who has transformed EMA into a national player on independent school enrollment management,” wrote her nominator, who cited her dedicated work to strengthen the partnership between EMA and NBOA and concomitantly the partnership between the business and enrollment offices, which is essential to financially healthy schools. “Her passion for independent schools is unmatched given her own independent school experience and her dedication to the sector for decades.”

The award will be presented at the 2023 NBOA Annual Meeting in February in Los Angeles.

“I’m stunned and looking forward to celebrating with National Business Officers Association (NBOA), Jeff Shields and Rose Neubert in Los Angeles on the association’s 25th anniversary. I was at NAIS in the “association liaison” role when NBOA was founded, so this feels full circle and I am glad to know Sarah Daignault (founding executive) will be there to celebrate!,” said Hoerle.
