Are schools required to use the SAO to display in the Admission.org Search?

No, schools aren't required to use the Standard Application Online (SAO), but we recommend it to fully realize the lead-generation benefits. Many families already have their information in our system, and asking them to go elsewhere to inquire or apply decreases the chances you'll hear from them. Keep in mind that the SAO integrates with most of the top enrollment management systems—SAO applications appear alongside those from the existing system in one place.
