What are the Admission.org Search file types and dimensions for photos and logos?

Photos

Photos support JPEG, PNG, and GIF file types.

We intentionally designed photos to display as a 600-pixel square image to provide image-selection flexibility between horizontal and vertically-shot pictures. It's best to pre-crop all photos to 600 x 600 pixels to focus on the compelling aspects of the composition.

It's also critical to compress images for web usage to reduce the file size—the last thing you want is someone abandoning a click to your school's profile because of slow page load.

There is no shortage of free and paid photo editing tools. A couple of free ones that we recommend:

• Canva — Crop photos and make other image alterations.
• Tinypng.com — Quickly compress PNG and JPEG images for web usage.

Logos

Logos only support PNG files. These files should be square and at least 200 pixels wide by 200 pixels tall. Compressing files for web usage before uploading is recommended.
