Sean Atkins is the Director of Enrollment Management at Suffield Academy, where he oversees the school's admissions, financial aid, recruitment, and enrollment strategy. A passionate advocate for boarding school education, Sean has dedicated nearly 25 years to helping students and families find the right educational fit. His work is centered on identifying young people with character, curiosity, resilience, and a desire to contribute to a vibrant community.
Sean joined Suffield Academy in 2010 and has served in a variety of leadership roles within the admissions office. In 2016, he was named Director of Admission and Financial Aid, and in 2021, he assumed his current role as Director of Enrollment Management. Prior to joining Suffield, Sean served as the Director of Educational Advancement at The Boys' Club of New York.
An active leader in the enrollment profession, Sean has served on E3n's Enrollment Leadership Council, mentored emerging admissions professionals, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS).
Sean attended the Darlington School in Rome, Georgia, and earned his undergraduate degree from Bates College. Sean has been married to Yasmin for 17 years, and they share three children, Sean Jr., Gavin, and Juliet.
