Kitsana Salyphone is a relationship-focused, data-driven educator with over 25 years of experience in independent schools. Her expertise spans a wide range of strategic leadership, including admissions, enrollment management, summer programs, tuition revenue and assistance, diversity, equity, and inclusion, database management, advancement, marketing, and communications. Among her proudest achievements is her work to increase access for students and families of color in independent schools, providing them with the support needed to thrive.
Kitsana held key roles at notable independent schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago. She has also served as a Board Member for the People of Color in Independent Schools of Northern California and as an Advisory Board Member (and former Summerbridge student) for Summerbridge at San Francisco University High School (CA).
An avid reader and master of tsundoku, she finds joy in basking in the sun with a piece of historical fiction, one of EMA’s special reports, or The Yield magazine. Kitsana earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of California, Davis, and a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies from Claremont Graduate University.
